Centre CDP Capital
The Centre CDP Capital was built over the Ville Marie expressway,
a substantial challenge. Three existing buildings are integrated
into this complex, which is intended to reflect the most recent
trends in energy efficiency and comfort. We note the presence
of neutralizing double-layered walls, windows that open, raised
floors, moveable partitions, energy-saving systems and in-floor
air circulation. All the materials were selected to increase
indoor transparency and brightness. Together, they give the building
remarkable warmth and beauty. Its interior design stands out
for its efficacy, flexibility and vitality. The building is equipped
with catwalks on every floor, the only multilevel structure of
its kind in Montréal. The "Trading Floor" is
a meeting area 122 m in length from which you can see an immense
nine-storey atrium of fritted glass, 13 triangular dendriform
beams and the "Front Office" that appears to be suspended
over the Trading Floor.
